Lachen is a small town in North Sikkim @2750 mt above sea level. This quaint little place is a pit stop for tourists before setting off an expedition to the Gurudongmar Lake.
The journey from Gangtok to Lachen takes around 5-6 hours depending on the road condition. There are many waterfalls and viewing points along the way which makes the drive enjoyable.
