Europe as a whole is probably the most popular tourist destination that there is. However when trying to decide just where to visit, it is best to look at sites like www.travelvana.com for ideas.

When faced with so many excellent destinations to choose from any, would be visitor, will have a dilemma in making their choice.

Here are the top 3 destinations as an example of the difficulty you will face in choosing.

London – The capital of the British Isles is steeped in history and awash with attractions that are world class. The London Eye, an impressive wheel built on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of London, allows those that ride it magnificent panoramas of the Thames and the rest of London. Buckingham Palace, the residence of Queen Elizabeth 11 and always joining pomp with tradition, as shown daily with the Changing of the Guard. The Tower of London, rich in history, was the site for the execution of three English Queens. It has served as a royal residence, prison and now is the home to the Crown Jewels. When thinking of London familiar names keep rolling off the tongue as if asking to be visited: Madam Tussaud’s, Trafalgar Square, Harrod’s, Hydes Park and more.

Paris – The capital of France still has its skyline dominated by the famous Eiffel Tower a magnificent piece of architecture, an icon among attractions. The Champs-Elysées is probably the most famous street in the world; it stretches from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, itself an icon recognizing the victories of France’s most famous person, Napoleon. The Moulin Rouge has for years set the standards for Cabaret throughout the world and still stands today as a popular attraction. The romantic setting of the Seine River as it cuts through the city, Notre Dame, the Louvre and Euro Disney all beckon the visitor to share its beauty.

Rome – Host to the Vatican City with all its Papal glory and home to the Colosseum, a large amphitheater for holding the ancient games and capable of holding 55,000 people, makes this a city to be placed on any cities list. Probably the most photogenic city in the world, it has its share of attractions with the Trevi Fountain and St Peter’s Square. The Piazzas or public squares in Rome are always a thrive of activity and an attraction for tourists. Piazza San Pietro or St Peter’s Square is the most popular as it is in front of St Peter’s Basilica and is always crowded. With a city that has a history such as that of Rome there will always be things of interest among the museums, churches and statues.

Considering that these are just three of the attractions of Europe from which you have to make your choice, you must realize how hard that choice is going to be, especially when you think of destinations such as Athens, Venice and Amsterdam being placed next to them.

Nicely done. I agree with all three of your choices. If I could only choose one country, though, it would immediately be Italy. The countryside, Venice, Florence, the Blue Grotto, and of course Rome with the Spanish Steps and of course, the Vatican.
